Flora Europaea the original Linnean specimen           A typical steppe and forest-steppe Pontic-Pannonian species. Present in Romania in Pannonia (Western Plain) and in Dobrudja and Moldavia it is not present in Transylvania where it would be expected to occur in the central-western forest-steppe area.
